He's lovely, and thank you.

there is absolutely no sound as perfectly glorious as a baby's laugh. it is so uplifting and he is beyond adorable!
March 13, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjouette
Doesn't that make it all worth it?

My 18-month old is starting to test his wings (and my patience), but his baby giggles and night-night snuggles melt all my resolve.

Beautiful... beautiful.

There's a lovely song titled "Greener" by Wideawake (small band from Austin) and a line in the song says, "I'm kicking at the darkness until it bleeds daylight."

That is something else! What a sound! What an incredible laugh and smile that boy has. Pure joy and love.I absolutely love your writing. I've been here before, and I watched you go through Liam's birth adn death. You see, I was due the same time as you, and clutched protectively to the baby still growing in my belly. I didn't reach for popcorn or shut the laptop or walk away. I cried. I felt. and I thank you for sharing this, though I know how strange it must be. I'm just a stranger, but I'm touched by you, and my daughter is the same chronological age as Ben is gestational. There is camaraderie in that.I also particularly loved your post on God and the spirit. I'm think I'm parked in exactly the same camp as you. I've never worded it so well and accurately, but I felt like printing that out and sharing it with those who ask my beliefs.I've also lost children, though my babies died much earlier than yours, while still in the womb. I know the loss isn't the same and the pain much different, but I do refuse to believe that they were just dividing cells, that they've left nothing behind. I can see their spirits behind their sister's eyes.
March 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBecca
That's the sweetest sound I heard today.
