Love it. Dig it. Aspire to be it.

You rock, as always. I could never wield a camera the way you chicks can. Way to go - serious talent there, and true inspiration to start the week. It's on my short list.

Oh! I knew that was your's when I saw his bright, beaming face! I officially love Shutter Sisters now that you're a part of it. (Though, to be fair, I just learned about it today.)

speaking of photos -- I've been meaning to mention, that photo with the wee one peeking up over the bottom edge of the frame? reminds me of the "kirby was here" drawings from around ww2. very cute.

The photo of you in "Meet the Sisters?"

Hello gorgeous!

Is that a self-portrait or is your dear glacier-climbing, canoe-refinishing, firefighter, Renaissance-man husband also an amazing photographer?

January 23, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLisa
Lisa, that was a self-portrait, taken with my old point-and-shoot before the hallowed Canon made its appearance. I feel like I should try another one with the new camera that's actually, oh, I don't know... IN FOCUS. :)

Thanks though, that's nice of you to say, and a good thing you don't encounter me in real-life or you'd know I smell like baby barf, and that tends to override however I might be able to cobble together the illusion of polish from 200 feet back.

Not only are you an amazing writer and gorgeous inside and out, but the photos you were able to take with a point-and-shoot have me utterly gobsmacked. I'm so envious of your gift for creative endeavors.

I almost had my husband (and, admittedly, myself) convinced that I'd be able to take such beautiful photos if only I had a dSLR. You just totally busted me.

Despite the baby barf, I'd still share a pot of tea and some wild blueberry scones with you. :)
